Ophtnotes was founded in March 2021, as an online education platform for ophthalmology. The Co-Founders of Ophtnotes are Dr Abhiyan Bhandari and Dr Sara Memon.
Dr Abhiyan Bhandari
Abhiyan is the Co-Founder and Radiology & Imaging Lead of Ophtnotes. He is a doctor who graduated from UCL Medical School in London. He scored in the top 10% of candidates who sat the Duke Elder examination and runs ophthalmology and Duke Elder revision sessions aimed at medical students. He also runs a YouTube channel aimed at medical students, covering topics ranging from study tips, productivity and vlogs of his journey through medical school.
Dr Sara Memon
Sara is the Co-Founder of Ophtnotes. She is a doctor who graduated from UCL Medical School in London. She won the Allen Goldsmith Prize in Ophthalmology. Sara is also the co-founder of PAMSA: an organisation linking doctors and medical students of Pakistani origin. She’s especially passionate about teaching and education, having presented a workshop she designed herself at the 2019 Annual GMC Conference.

Jessica Mendall
Jessica is a final year medical student studying in London. She previously studied preclinical medicine in Oxford, intercalating in Systems Neuroscience and Molecular Pathology. She is particularly interested in Ophthalmology, medical education and clinical research.
Rohan Shankarghatta
Rohan is a 4th-year Medical student at KCL. He founded Doctors do Mind this past academic year focussing on the mental health aspects and pressures doctors and other healthcare professionals face in their careers. Doctors do Mind hold teaching sessions and events for students at KCL preparing them for the transition to Junior doctors by equipping them with the tools to overcome any challenges they may encounter including stress, burnout and mental health. Rohan is interested in medical education and med-tech opportunities and is always on the lookout for challenges outside the clinical space.
Ardra Radhalakshmi
Ardra is a final year medical student at King's College London with a special interest in medical education and widening participation. Her future aspirations include pursuing a career in ophthalmology, planetary health and working abroad for a year or two! In the coming few months, she is planning to contribute to her university undergraduate e-learning module for ophthalmology and is helping to run sessions online for KCL students interested in the speciality as part of the Ophthalmology Society committee.
